Vietnam

Hi Guys,
We were a bit slow getting on to the blog thing but better late than never hey!
We spent the first 5 days in Ho Chi Minh City - Did a tour out to the Cu Chi Tunnels which was very interesting and spent some time exploring the city - We ended up having a bit of a drunken night and had a hangover day which was followed by an actual Mel being sick day!
Food was really good the whole trip – we loved the Pho (noodle soup) and Banh Mi (Vietnamese rolls) – everything was cheap too we were rarely spending more than $10 between us on a meal.
From Saigon we started a 3 day, 2 night tour from Saigon along the towns along the Mekong Delta staying one night at My Tho and the other at Chau Doc. It was nice to check out the more rural areas of Vietnam - although they were still big cities - Highlights of the tour included a coconut candy workshop, several boat cruises, Rory drinking snake wine and holding a massive python and a couple of interesting temples and some floating markets that were for locals rather than tourists which were quite cool. Our last day in Vietnam we went to some floating fish farms and a muslim community where we got dressed up in traditional get up and had some sexy shots.. hahaha! We then had a 4 hour slow boat ride to the Cambodian border and then another 5 hours on to Phnom Pehn. We loved Vietnam - will be heading back to check out more for sure!
